Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308
i got something to post just because i am sure its not me my phone locks out of nowhere with this kitchen i've tried reinstalling it starts to lag bad and will lock often while doing nothing it just locks up i plug it in to charge go to turn it on. light comes on but its locked. ca't move anything have to reset it been doing this a lot does it on IE too not sure if anyone else has these issues but like i said i tried reinstalling. i understand a bit of lag but not a total lock up. and often i gotta reset it 2-3 times and if i don't click the start menu soon as it comes up it will lock up. its quite annoying i'm thinking maybe something to do with the spb menu
anyways i just moved and not unpacked my usb cable so i can't retry without the spb stuff but it would be note wrothy that it runs when u start the phone so its posibule. anywho if anyone has any ideas or a fix let me know if not i may need to puit the phone on another rom because i can't have it locking up every hour or so its kinda anoying LOL |

Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308
I can't seem to get Activesync to work. I have re-flashed the ppc three times. I have tried deleting and re-installing activesync 4.5 on my computer running win XP SP2 and I have also deleted the profile on the ppc and also performed a soft reset and still no go. At times it will say it's connected but won't do anything when I click on "sync" and other times it will hang and say connecting but never completely connect. I know that it sees the device because I can explore the ppc through Activesync. I have also tried checking and unchecking the box under "USB to PC" on the ppc with no luck. I am using the latest version of Build OS and I have run updates on it prior to building the ROM. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This may help, or not. I have a slight issue with AS too and what I do is put the PPC in standby before plugging in the USB. All goes well. If the PPC is not in standby I get a connection error. This was the case for me with the 6.0 ROM and is with this ROM as well.

Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308
I know that I am by far not a chef and I have not studied this cuisine very long but one thing that has been apparent to me and keeps being an ingrediant in my kitchen that I could do without is HTC X 2.0.
Everytime I add that to my kitchen my 6700 comes to a IIIc screeching halt. I decided since the new .rar doesn't have htc x 1.5 from the last 6.0 build, I took the file out of that rar file added it the the 6.1 version of that rar file then loaded buildOS back up check that as my option. Now after loading it in my pda runs very very noticably faster and better. The question now that I am asking myself is; Why was it left out and why is 2.0 the only option when clearly IMHO the 1.5 version works better on 6700's. I truelly appreciate everyone's efforts here and I know someday down the road the 6800 is coming to my future but I LOVE MY 6700 NOW!!! Last edited by audionut952; 03-18-2008 at 08:12 PM. |

Glad to see I am not the only one with activesync errors (although I am using WMDC). Maybe more posts will get some attention. I am not sure if it has anything to do with it but I am getting a notification error of not being able to execute calnot.exe. I do have to say some times it will connect, but it connected everytime with 6.0. This is more of a pain in the butt then a real problem, but it sure is scary to think syncing one day might not work at all!
