Or you can build with the PocketCM OEM.

HA! i post, i head to xda to look into the prime contact thing. i come back and theres your answer! why can't commercial tech support be as good as ya'll. thank you colonel.

You guys are tricky. Past Kitchens all installed in the same directory and would incorporate my custom OEMs and files into the file structure.
This time I had to hunt around to find them. I'm still getting some wierd errors and haven't been able to build a ROM small enough yet, but I'm getting close.
Not so close. I've got this ROM pretty stripped down and it still says I need to remove over 3mb (if I'm reading that Hex correctly).
Selections and log attached. Any advice appreciated.

What issues are you having? You should be able to put your OEMs in to User_OEM. What did you have to hunt for?

Yes, size is an issue. Unfortunately that is the burden the Apache user must carry. WM6+ is larger as we have seen. And, if you have a new bootloader, your ROM partition is reduced even more.

yes, the file locations of older kitchens has been abandoned. Many of the files from the older kitchens are not compatible either.

The login is required. Trying mutliple username/password combinations doesn't do anything but create clutter.

The kitchen is overwriting many files (less now that I changed some selections)- most seem to be image files for the dialer?
My old AlarmClock OEM doesn't seem to get recognized properly.
I had to hunt for the new file directory. Not a big deal at all.

No new bootloader...
My post above is amended with files- any suggestions appreciated.

Hi all
I downloaded the buildos.msi and installed. Ran the updater and installed all update. When I run buildos and login I get "BuildOS Version BuildOS v.09.05.2(03/03/2008 ) has expired"
I'm on XP pro.

What do you mean by "doesn't seem to get recognized properly?"

The overwriting is a warning...buildos doesn't know what they are, and in some circumstances overwriting is both unintended and deleterious. A future release will avoid/reduce the multiple popups issue.

Yeah, I checked...it's only creating clutter on your end :-)

I'll let you know on the proxy/port thing...no time to look it up right now.

Hey guys,

I've just tested this on two x64 machines. I don't have a x32 machine available at this moment but i cannot run updater.exe. Is it compatible with x64?

It's working fine on Vista x64 for me. I have to start BuildOS as Administrator to get everything to work right, but I haven't had a problem other than that.

Is noone else having wifi problems? Ive searched all the threads and tried the turning it on waiting 10 seconds and then turning it off and back on and nothing.

as much as i liked the new features of this update (threaded sms!!) i had to reflash my phone back to wm6. i need the wifi and that was the only thing that worked.

i cant be the only one, can i? if anyone has any ideas on how to get it up and running that would be awesome.

please and thank you.

I just turned on WiFi and it immediately noticed all the networks here, i picked mine from the list, put in my WEP key and it connected. I actually like it a lot better than WM6 as it picked up the networks a lot faster and took significantly less time to connect.

If I'm not mistaken this looks like a firewall issue. I get this error at work but not on my machine at home.

When I click on the Kitchen Rom Kit link the save button in the BuildOS.msi popup window is not active (It's grayed out), only the cancel button is available.

EX

Figured it out...just had to be a little more patient for the "save" button to appear.

This is a manifest issue. I've bundled the manifest externally as a band-aid - as long as it's in the same folder as the .exe you should be ok. Setting Run as Administrator should also resolve the issue (and keep UAC from warning you all the time too).

When I say that, I mean that I see the following error when I open my project file. When I watch the progress of the build, it looks like the Alarm program errors then works correctly.
Error in BuildOS window: Internal Error- Option.xml GUID not found (BigJAlarmClock-26316bb1-c258-11db-8314-0800200c9a66)

I should have mentioned I am running XP x64. The manifest file is in the same folder and i've tried running the executable as administrator and I still get the same error. Any other suggestions/ideas?

The option.xml in your OEM is not built correctly.

Alright, what the heck are you guys including (or more importantly, NOT including) that's allowing your ROMs to build. I'm stripping almost everything out and it still says it's too big.

Oh, and the errors when press play start with: "kitchens\PPCGeeks_OEMrar::Skin-Phone-no2chem_dualtouch-battery.bmp- Overwrite existing file?" and continue with about 20 more images.

That means that some of the dialer images were left in the kitchen by mistake. The dual touch dialer is then trying to overwrite them. While annoying, this is important to alert users to possible duplicate file issues. I will try to address the dialer image duplicates.
