cant get this to work. when it says copying extra files it says no directory found. then it loads it to the ruu but then nothing comes up when it says what rom you are flashing

I was able to update but I'm not able to login when running BuildOS using my PPCGeeks user and self created pass.

Initially I used my user/pass from here and that created the brought up the error 'BuildOS v.09.05.2 (03/03/2008) has expired.'

To be clear, I did the full update for all available updates and they did install.

Suggestions?

i downloaded everything in the update except non freeware oem. yeah im cheap lol. payday your gettin that donation though :) should i just delete and reinstall buildos?

Extra files not found is NORMAL. disregard. Its a legacy thing that we'll remove once we're sure we don't need it anymore.

not sure about your missing rom flash info. Are you able to flash anyway? I'll try to replicate.

It worked!

I have the 2.05 bootloader too. I was cautious but still greedy when choosing what I wanted the first time around. When that created an error I went ahead and took more off and it started to update my xv6700. It went through all the motions and when I did the hard reset it wouldn't go past the initial start up screen. No biggie.

I went ahead and only installed the items I didnt have CABs for already that were up to date. It created everything perfectly except it asked me if I wanted to overwrite certain image files. I just hit space bar a whole bunch of times to get past all of them and then past that it worked beautifully!

I did the hard reset and everything is working perfectly as far as I can tell. I only finished about 15 minutes ago but so far so good.

I'm having the same problem. If I use the same password as I use on ppcgeeks, I get the same error. If I use a different password than the first one I put in, I get a logon failed message and then another one saying it can't load user settings.

gguruusa, I can't get connected to chat (bad user info). My internet connection is fast. I've tried to log on with the firewall disabled as well but no luck.

HHC is a huge app and not recomended for apache users.

Also, no2chem's nue apps are primarily for the titan

I'm having an issue where the carier customizations are not being added. I know previously in WM6 I had to select it in the drop down list at the top as well as in the list of modules. I select my carrier(sprint) in the dropdown box but there are no modules listed for the individual carriers.

This BuildOS only requires you to select it at the top. The carrier modules you used to select in the list are no longer visible.

when in started the build os after update i didn't "run as admin" could be a problem but beats me ideas? :p

Guru:

The 1217 kitchen had a "patches" folder where you could copy more recent...or older versions of .exe files included in the kitchen and they would be used instead of the (same filename) file in the oem.rar.

Does the new kitchen support this? Should I just create a Patches folder in the /program files/ppckitchen.org\buildOS\ ?

For some reason it was still not getting the carrier info. I had to make the carrier customization visible and the select it to get it to cook in the ROM.

gguruusa thats going to be an issue i'm Tipicaly a linux user i only use windows to flash this phone/update it how do i obtain my selections is it in a cirten folder seeing as i can't just open the project and upload to my webspace.
