Thanks Gguruusa, but that did not work either. I had run the updater and it had placed all of the files in the Kitchen folder.

I have removed and reinstalled everything and still no change.

I have used the 6.0 update without a problem. Is that causing a problem with the new install???

OK, the Shareware file is 8228kb, the Apache_helmi_WM6.1.rar files is 29632kb, and the PPCgeeks_OEM.rar is 48,644kb.

I have removed and reloaded several times and still no change in that BuildOS opens and asks for my selections.txt and when I cancel that, there is nothing in the kitchen except the files from USER_OEM.

I got the sleep trick to work once, but hard to do (remember) on the fly. also not sure what the internet sharing trick is exactly, but the main point of this phone is so that I don't have to have a computer with me.

Of course there's nothing there...you didn't load anything. You need a selections.txt, and it should have been downloaded by the updater. No worries, just get it from http://ppckitchen.org/downloads. Put it in the projects folder.

I'm not sure if other people are experiencing the same issue, but after flashing this ROM to my phone, it would no longer charge via the USB port. Not sure what exactly it may be, whether it's the base ROM or one of the OEM packages I added, but I followed the instructions for disabling USB charging (only in reverse) to get it to work. I found it on this post and then reset my phone and now it charges over USB. The registry value that controls this wasn't present and I'm assuming that was the problem and just defaulted to disabling USB charging. I'll make a CAB fix then if people would want it that may be having this problem as well.
