Lets start by looking at the easiest thing:
goto settings, system, power.
click the advanced tab and make sure that your "Turn off device if not used for" settings are enabled.
Even if they are, I'd change them to something else and test again. In one of the earlier kitchens I saw that settings aren't actually correctly set to what they say in the control panel until you switch it once.
Oh, and since I haven't said it in awhile because I'm usually a lurker: Thanks to everyone for all the hard work they have put into the kitchen. I really love how it has evolved, despite it taking up an abnormally large portion of my time to get everything "perfect" (at least for a couple weeks before starting over again)
