ftouchflo alone is not the cube - it's just the scrolling mojo. You'd need to install the cube stuff still.

I'm running the newest WM6 kitchen with a modest selection of OEMs. I decided to give this a shot, but it brings my PPC to a crawl. I have plenty of RAM left when it is running, so I don't think that is the case. Basically every reaction is delayed by around 15 seconds, which as I'm sure you can imagine is quite frustrating. A soft reset fixes it until I bring up the cube, but after dismissing it the latency shows up.

Is anyone else having an issue like this?

Thanks for the quick reply. I installed the HTCCube2.cab. No change yet.. do I have to do a soft reset or something?

Update: Actually , if I do the swipe from bottom to mid-screen using the stylus, windows media player comes up!

Update 2: Soft reste and I get the cube.. Getting there!

Make sure you're not running TWO copies of ftouchflo, I believe you just need to install the cube cab. Check \Windows\Startup and see if you have more then one .lnk that refers to flo in some form or other....

I'm running on an older WM6 kitchen build, but I can't imagine it would make that much of a difference. Performance has been very good for me.

Yay!

I've found that I don't actually use the cube much, but I do use the TouchFlo scrolling a lot... cube is cute, but I already had everything set up via WM5NewMenu for quick, one hand access without a stylus *or* getting my screen all smudgy. Even with a stylus however, swiping to scroll is a lot easier then trying to hit those scroll bars.

Which makes me wonder... maybe I can make those scroll bars a lot thinner now. Hmmmm.

When you mean TouchFlo scrolling, what does that mean? I guess I dont really understand what are all the features that touchflo provides
I just saw your screenshots in post 2 of this thread. how do you get that screen lock like the iPhone.. the ROM I built has a scroll bar in the lower half of the screen, which I dont really like.. yours looks so much cleaner!

The lock screen is S2U2 - it's in the kitchen. I love that thing

The today screen? That won't have a scrollbar if you don't put too much in it

Mine has rltoday at the top, which gives me the big numbers and whatnot, and then messaging, clendar+, tastsplus, segman's launcher, O2 last call. It usually all fits w/o a scroll bar as long as I don't have a bazillion appointments that day.

Touchflo can scroll any screen with a scroll bar for you, like the Touch and iPhone, by "pushing" the screen up to scroll down, or down to scroll up, or left to scroll right, etc...

To get that, just make a smaller "swipe" action then the BIG actions to get the cube up or spinning or down, starting about 1/2" in from top or bottom or sides... you can even do a diagonal swipe in PIE if you have it in desktop mode and it has 2 scroll bars up.

Man, this is gonna be a steep learning curve!!
The S2U2 - I guess I can just add it to the list when building the ROM. Gonna give that a shot tonight.
How do I customize the TODAY screen? Is that also from the Kitchen?
And I pulled up my contacts and tried to get the TouchFlo thing. Does not push or scroll (should I be getting a cube when in my contacts and do that initial small swipe??)

p.s: Let me know if I am cluttering the thread and can PM you instead.

I don't mind continuing in this thread...

S2U2, yep just add that to your kitchen.
Contacts with flo - for some reason, poutlook.exe is on the exclude list (see first post) - just remove that line and soft reset, and then contacts will scroll via touchflo.

Today screen options are in Start, Settings, Today (Items tab)
You can add today items in the kitchen (several are in there), or just install the software - today items should be in the rom or internal memory though, they don't play well on storage cards.

Even if you've included a today item in your kitchen, it may or may not appear on your today screen until you enable in in the settings... you can set options for today items, rearrange their order, disable/enable them all from that settings app..
