We just found what we believe to be the problem with why updates aren't rolling out to everyone and why sometimes you can't check multiple items. You can either wait for the next update cycle, which will fix the problem, or you can delete "c:\program files\ppckitchen.orb\buildos\updater\sections_buil dos.xml" and then run updater. Multiple items checked should work fine now.

The problem with buildos not closing when updater starts has been found. It will be fixed in a future update cycle.

I know this is probably a dense question.... But....

Is the Camera (Vogue version 5.x) not compatible with the Apache?

Why is it listed in the Apache options?

I would love to upgrade my camera if at all possible.

Re: New BuildOS - Report Bugs Here

It's compatible, but the vogue doesn't have a flash. The build problem noted is from a file composition issue, which I think Tiermann fixed in the most recent update.

Hmmm... I must be doing something wrong then. I keep getting this error:

"kitchens\PPCGeeks_OEM.rar

File create error"

Anyone have any suggestions?

The fix isn't released yet then.

Edit: just checked, it's been addressed and released already, so you may have another similar problem with a different OEM?

Re: New BuildOS - Report Bugs Here

I am running x64 Vista, I have had some trouble getting the RUU Utility to find my Apache in bootloader mode. I workaround this by starting a ROM upgrade such as Helmis or one of verizons "upgrades", and running until it shows the screen where it lists the current CE, Radio version and the new version to be installed, I then cancel and allow the Build_OS RUU to find my apache. (Often times I will start the other upgrade.exe once the build status window starts and hopefully cancel before the build os ruu starts or the Ruu utility freezes, not sure which one)

However since the new upgraded Build_OS I get as far as [Build Status] "Build#25 completed" and instead of starting ruu utility, I get an Error message "Access to the path 'C:\Program Files(x86)\PPCkitchen.org\BuildOS\Upgrade\Apache_R UU\RUU\nk.nbf' is denied

This program always has automatically started with administator priveleges (no need to left click) because it prompts you to allow or deny application right after you complete user and pass on build os first window.

Can I work around this problem using the info from page 45 of this thread?
Like manual retrieval nk.nbf and replace the nk.nbf of some Rom package?
Please forgive me if I lack a basic understanding of computer programming.....

Re: New BuildOS - Report Bugs Here

Your post is puzzling. The file you noted isn't supposed to exist in that location anymore. I've built several Apache roms of late, and haven't experienced the problem you note. I'm also fascinated by your statment that running the ruu manually behaves different than when kicked off from buildos - it's the same executable!

As to working around, not sure what page 45 says, but if it says you can manually copy the .nbf, yes, that will work.

I get the same problem. I uninstall, and re-install BuildOS, run updater, but I still have the same problem.

This happened when I created rom, here is build status:
".................................

Scanning kitchens\PPCGeeks_OEM.rar::Voicemail Today Plugin
Scanning kitchens\PPCGeeks_OEM.rar::WiFiFoFum

Scanning kitchens\PPCGeeks_OEM.rar::Wireless Today Plugin
Scanning kitchens\PPCGeeks_OEM.rar::WM5torage
Extracting: kitchens\PPCGeeks_OEM.rar"

I am looking for help. Thank so much

I had the same problem last night (after uninstalling, reinstalling and re-updaing). Turns out I had HTC Camera package installed from the HTC Vogue section. Once I removed it, it built without a problem.
