Re-Direction of Temp Area

Am I allowed to re-direct the Temp area to a different drive than the default install location? I would like to move it to a larger external drive. I have moved the USER_OEM to this same drive and that is working fine.

Thanks,
Steve

Why is that? You seem to have to coding in the config to allow this.

Thanks,

Re: New BuildOS - Report Bugs Here

Hi,

I am behind a corp firewall, when I run the program it doesn't run because it's trying to connect to a cox.net address for a database...? Is this normal?? And how do I use this from behind the firewall?? Thx

It is normal, and it should fail. The database connection is for developer authorization. The connection mechanism will be revised in an upcoming release to eliminate the database connection.

The normal route is via a html request that occurs after the database connection fails. This should work even in a coporate environment. If you would like to help debug connection issues with firewalls, please find me in the chat room, or send me an e-mail (this will make the debugging extremely slow, however)

It was allowed at one time, but Vista rights management interfered. Now it's relative to the user store. Some of the developers would like it moveable as well, so you'll likely see this feature return in a future release.
