Replaced the speaker and it works again. Does not appear to be a bug, at least in my case.
The How To Disassemble Guide with pictures can be found here. Excellent guide, just follow directions. Link does not work because it puts a GRIN in it so copy this to your address bar:
wiki.ppcgeeks.com/index.php?title=How_Toisassemble_your_6700#XV_67 00_Assembly_Pictorial.2FTutorial_v1.0_by_Sixftunda
REPLACE Grin with : D (do not type a space between them) after copied to address bar.

If this helped you please give me Credit Points by Pressing the little scale in the upper right hand corner next to the thread count. Thanks

Hmmm. Sounds like a PITA. Software problems are almost always easier -- or at least fixing software problems is less likely to have dire unintended consequences. Glad you got it working, but too bad it doesn't help me much...

Check Settings/connections. Problem is probably there.

eh im thinking of giving this a shot later on today when i wake up hehe..

just a couple questions tho. how many things should u check mark after the default ones are set in the kitchen? i've read if u check mark too many youll get errors. another thing, is their a link to the WM5 that im using with telus right now that i could go back to? do i need to back up my contacts before i make this switch? On the toolbar where it says RUU what should be selected? Also, for boot splash and main splash should u pick what carier you have i noticed that main splash says default unless you change it.

i was just wondering how do u get into "bootloader", and how do u do a "soft reset", and "hard reset"....thank you to whoever takes the time to answer these questions. i am a n00b to PDA phones, and just grabbed this 6700 a week ago!
