I assume these songs/videos are located on your storage card? If so, it is due to building with the SDHC drivers--there is a registry setting that needs to be changed to solve that issue. Your choices are:
1. Change the blocksize registry setting (I don't have it handy but if you look for posts by verizonguy you should find it easily). It's on page 2 or 3 of the 20071107_2 bug fix thread I believe.
2. Rebuild your ROM, except choose the SD instead of the SDHC driver. This is a fine option if you don't have any SDHC (4GB or bigger) cards
3. Wait for the next release of the kitchen (tonight or tomorrow most likely) which will have the fixed registry setting in it already.
