Install WM5 NewMenu and use that to select the text and the program.

I'm still having issues with the phone program. The touch dialer does not work, and the dialpad isn't there. Activating the phone I get an invisible dialer(dialer is there just no skin) and have to install the big button .cab to get the phone. Any suggestions as to what I might be doing wrong?

It's got to be something you're changing, removing or adding. Try to build the kitchen using default options with only checking off your carrier's extended rom. Then change one thing at a time until you see what is breaking your rom.

I'll agree with that, it's gotta be something I added. OEMs posssibly?
I'll give the reflash a shot, and when I figure it out I'll post the results to prevent others from the same....
Thanks man!

VZG,
Are we gonna see the dialer removed from the rest of the rom so we can select the dialer like the WM5 kitchen in any future releases? Currently I have to run a cab every time so i can get my inactive data arrows back and so that when I dial *228 the correct messages are displayed.

I'd also like to see the ability to have the default crossbow dialer.

Can you post this cab that gives you the inactive data arrows back? I was not aware that ANY WM6 rom had the active inactive data indicators.

I can't remember where I picked this up, but I am sure it was here at ppcgeeks or at XDA.
The Bluefrog Big Button Dialer is what fixed it but I hated the bigger buttons. So until I found this I installed this Bluefrog dialer to fix the arrows and then a eb3604's touch dialer cab over it to get it to look normal. Talk about a waste of space.

There is some loss of fidelity with this cab even though it looks the same and is smaller. If you look at the images in this cab against the images in the kitchen you'll see that there aren't individual png's for the numbers and that the numbers are on the background. You'll also see that there's only a white rectangle instead of an inverted png of the number when you press a number on the dialpad.

Hopefully looking at this cab will help people who know way more than me restore the arrows and dialer functions such as the messages of "SPL Unlocked" and the count down to restart after programming.

Here is what the guy who posted it said:
"All credit for the "Touch Clone Dialer" goes to:

Paul_Hammons for his original dll modifications and "Bluefrog Big Button Dialer"
eb3604 for his cab to hide the button text and clone the touch skin
tiermann for providing me the smartdial dll and help creating the cab

I did nothing other than repackage their great work.

Error downloading from ftp... is there a rapidshare or torrent link?

NEVERMIND: I found it. The link in Verizonguy's signature leads to the wrong place. I didn't bother sorting it out, but went through the link from NickM's OEM thread, then up a level and then to kitchens from there.
