Empty OEMS ??

It seems like many of the folders in the Working OEM folder are empty. Am I doing something wrong? I have been able to download some of them.

Is it possible to make an OEM file for ILauncher if I have the newest CAB file? It needs a registration key which is no big deal to input. It'd be awesome to have that install automatically.

A related question - when OEM's install, are all the files automatically put into the windows folder, or can the user specify? For example, it be nice to have ILauncher under Programs vs. Windows.

Lastly, here are a few cabs I haven't seen OEM's for:

PPC6700Hacks - Blades 6700 Hacks. I'm assuming this would still be beneficial in WM6

Stock Quote - another Blade program that updates stocks. I like it because it only updates when I ask it to - it's not "live" all the time.

-IECLEAR_PPC.ARM. CAB to clear IE history and regain hard drive space.

- DTWEATHER. Nice weather application that pulls a weather report when I ask it to as opposed to being a today screen plug-in that updates constantly. I don't remember where I got this file but I know it's freeware.

Most of us don't install programs like iLauncher in a ROM since they get updated and then need be reinstalled (a second time) or put into a new ROM and reflashed.

A related question - when OEM's install, are all the files automatically put into the windows folder, or can the user specify? For example, it be nice to have ILauncher under Programs vs. Windows.
It's my understanding that including a program in anything other than the Windows folder is a hassle that isn't really worth the effort. It still shows up in "Programs" in the Start Menu, but as a part of the ROM, it installs in \Windows rather than \Program Files.

Lastly, here are a few cabs I haven't seen OEM's for:

PPC6700Hacks - Blades 6700 Hacks. I'm assuming this would still be beneficial in WM6 There is an OEM for this- look in one of the older kitchens. However, since this was created for the 6700 using WM5, it would probably be better if an OEM was created using the Blades 6800Hacks cab. I think that many of the hacks have been incorporated into the 0.7AKU and VG's own tweaks. I usually install these hacking programs (includiing Tweaks2K2) on my SD card, since they don't need to take up RAM or ROM once they have been used.

I'm not surprised that I can't find the threaded sms one, do you have it hiding somewhere else, or on a non-ppcgeeks server?

Thanks!

I am trying to update PhoneWeaver from 1.02 to 1.16. Copying files into the OEM folder to update them didn't work, but I may have missed some.
I think I read a post about updating OEMs to newer versions, but can't seem to locate it.
Does anyone have a newer OEM for Phone Weaver?

On the FTP, navigate to the Apache>Working_OEMs_for_VerizonGuy's_WM6_Kitchen folder. Or, you can go to the Apache>New_Core_OEMs>Hefman folder. I just checked -- it's still in both places...

You guys need to host the Palm SMS OEM elsewhere. Mike was hassled by Palm about hosting that application here and wants to abide by Palm's wishes. Please just put it on rapidshare or something--I'm going to delete it here as soon as I get around to it so someone please act soon.

Rob,
I don't have a newer PW OEM. Still thought I'd mention since this app gets revised alot I wouldn't put it in a Rom anyway - it goes in my standard extrom installations. By the way, have you got 1.16 working fine on your 6700? I installed it last week but reverted to 1.15 because of the pushmail bug.
