Ok I have tried to use the new 0.6b kitchen and I have a couple of observations/questions/issues for VerizonGuy.
1) First when taking all the defaults I have noticed that the Comm Mgr is the default that came with the vendor ROM. There was the better laid out one that was the default when I used VZG's built ROM. With the kitchen I am not sure what option to choose to get this back. I guess the Wireless Mgr in the Connections screen can be changed? 2) On the top of the Home Screen there used to be a battery meter that was next to the speaker icon. This was available when using the built ROM. With the kitchen this is now replaced by a time icon. What option do I pick when I am using to the kitchen to get this back? 3) Is there a way to save the options picked in the kitchen, so that it can be compared from version to version when the ROM is built and installed? That would be very helpful. VZG keep up the fantastic work. This is really getting good, and now with your decision to not develop the i760 I am going to work with the 6700 for a bit longer. Thanks, Steve |

1. Not sure here.. I haven't built a rom based on 0.6b yet as i just now read through the post again to see that it was released, but the 10-Button comm manager should be the same one in helmi's original WM6 release and that is the default option in BuildOS when I opened it. 2. This the regedit for that: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell] "ShowTitleBarClock"=dword:00000000 When the clock is disabled the battery icon shows up. I plan to make an OEM for this that will have a high GUID to overide any other OEMS. 3. At this time no.. this is an old horse drug through the mud and beaten again and again.. I remember a movement to get the source code from Bepe or to try to reverse engineer it but I'm not sure what ever happened to that. |

Regedit for clock and battery worked like a champ...thanks! Too bad on the saving of settings. I am really into the kitchen now and wanting to learn all I can. I have begun to add my apps to the kitchen and am getting very positive results so far. Steve |

2) You are confused about the wireless manager. You have both the wireless manager and the comm manager. The wireless manager is accessed via the settings->connections cpl. The 10 button comm manager is accessed via the htc home plugin, or via a tray item that I have left disabled. Click the icon to the right of the sunshine icon, then click the icon in the top left corner. Quote:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\ Change ShowTitleBarClock to 0 If you want the icon in the tray at the bottom instead: HKEY_lOCAL_MACHINE\Services\Power\ Change ShowIcon to 1 I plan to change this in the next version to show the battery by default as that is how most phones ship by default. Bear in mind, if you upgrade to a new kitchen, any oem package preference would be lost except any custom oem ones that are not included in the kitchen by default. Quote:

[QUOTE=verizonguy;108841]1) There are 3 different versions of the comm manager in the kitchen. Simply check off the one you want and uncheck the other 2. The newest 10 button one from the Kaiser is already selected by default, so you shouldn't have to change anything.
In Devel4 ROM the 10 button comm manager was the default, both when you tapped the wireless manager in the Settings tab, and also when you wireless manager on the signal stength icon on the 6700. Now the original wireless manager is defaulting there. This is even if I select the 10 button comm manager in the kitchen...any ideas? Waiting patiently for the 6800 now that you have made the same decision. I just returned my i760 yesterday since you will not develop for it. I really wish the Tytn II would come out for CDMA soon. I love the AT&T Tilt. Steve |

Ok I have just flashed back to Devel4 and have confirmed that the 10 button comm manager defaults in both the Connections tab and also when tapping Wireless Manager when you tap on the radio strength icon. In both of these places the default is the old wireless manager when I use the 0.6b kitchen. Is this a GUID issue possibly?
Thanks, Steve |

Use reg editor of your choice Head down to this key: \HKLM\software\microsoft\shell\\RAI\mswrlsmgr Change value 1 from wrlsmgr.exe to commmanager.exe and voila! Now the 10 button comm manager is your default. Enjoy
