I tried the full version, looks great and works very smooth. Unfortunally it keeps on freezing on me, both in use and with screen lock. I'm back to 23081 (last stable version for me), I hope you get it fixed.

Regards,
Ron

Guys can anyone on latest 28014 rom test this to check if SOD (sleep of death) will be resolved:

1. - Backlight light can't turn on after sleep mode
- STD

About DisablesyncSchedule:In WM5/6, activesync connects automatically time to time (even if device is turned off), and would cause STD, specially with SD Card inserted.

DisablesyncSchedule.cpf Install procedure:
Copy DisablesyncSchedule.cpf to your device
Run DisablesyncSchedule.cpf (using File Explorer on your PPC). It will show:
"Device Settings Changed".

Then Soft-Reset and verify if the STD is gone...

Maybe STD is an unfortunate choice of acronyms... but I'll try it anyway... even at the risk of STD. I have the latest 28014 full installed and I've gotten the Sleep of death so lets see what we get with the patch.

-----------
Installed. We'll see if I get the STD... or is it SOD? ;)

Dunno,

I've taken the acronym from the others :) and it could be both:
Sleep To Death and Sleep Of Death :)

Re: Heechee's TreoPro GSM 28014 Rom WWE & older

So far so good. Also, I don't know if you've worked more on this problem but Windows Media Player seems to be doing a tad better with Music from SD cards... although, it still has a long delay between songs and will buffer a few times during the first 10 seconds... the rest of the songs play great

Re: Heechee's TreoPro GSM 28014 Rom WWE & older

Yup no STD's here... so far. Yeah, it would be awesome to have Manila in a naked ROM. Also, did you say you were going to try a different phone skin to try to get rid of the scroll problem. Is that still in the works?

Re: Heechee's TreoPro GSM 28014 Rom WWE & older

FWIW, I have been running my own plain 28014 ROM since 12-13 and have had zero hangs of the phone. Either I have simply been very lucky or 28014 itself is not the issue. I would be happy to provide a copy of my kitchen to anyone that wants to run a diff against a copy that has the hang. I have been a UNIX developer for over 20 years so all this silly Windows stuff is new to me...not sure at this point how to really debug this stuff...and since I will be using a Droid soon I doubt I'll learn ;-) I am willing to provide info though....

Flashed with the v3 naked ROM, and it runs like a dream. I like the work, but hate QuickGPS. Any way of getting rid of that?

tms 12-30-2009 09:47 AM

Re: Heechee's TreoPro GSM 28014 Rom WWE & older

Had multiple STD issues with naked v3.1. It looks all are caused by any app uses network while device is in sleep. Also have tried number of MatBee's 230xx, but there is "dead screen" problem.

Re: Heechee's TreoPro GSM 28014 Rom WWE & older

Slight addendum there.

When using the phone, the mute, lock and the speakerphone buttons are not visible on the screen. Is there something I need to adjust there? I am currently using your 28014 naked rom. Thanks.

We're all waiting for an update to correct this issue. I hope Heechee will come back from holiday soon

Should I ask you to include French language in the future release ?

Heechee! Happy New Year. Hey so, one of the things that this phone doesn't have that every other phone I've owned has is a power button. Or at least the power button doesn't turn the phone off, but instead just turns the cellular antenna off. Is there a way to customize the behavior of the power button in the ROM?

Sorry guys, had a lot of personal problems (divorce, ex-wife, child custody, money and all that grose stuff that comes with fighting divorce),
but that's over now, in next couple of days I'll keep up with the things and try to make something new and without bugs...

I'll keep in touch from now on

Best Regards, Heechee

Thanks Travis so far I'm good...

I've been looking whole morning what has happened while I was gone and it looks like there are a lot of branches in WM build now, so trying to figure out what would be the best for our little treo :)

HeecheeSCG 02-24-2010 12:00 PM

Re: Heechee's TreoPro GSM 28014 Rom WWE & older

And since I can't figure out differences I'll have to make 3 versions of full & naked roms:

28205
23518
23529

I hope tomorrow or day after they will be ready for upload

I suggest using
PIM Backup: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299705
and Flashback: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=577728

in next few days :)

Makin everything from 0

downloaded all 3 packages and sorting out things and making MSXIP kernel and OEMXIP kernel from 0

so we will see if this time everything will be OK, or I'll make some hybrid :) :)

Re: Heechee's TreoPro GSM 28014 Rom WWE & older

Hey Heechee! sounds good to me. My vote is to use one of the ones where Microsoft fixed the alarm (the original 6.5 releases had problems with not accepting mp3's or repeating the alarm). Also, I noticed that the newer version of the HTC Audio Manager actually works with large microSD cards, which is amazing since WMP has never worked well playing music from large cards. Perhaps you could include the HTC audio manager.

From some of the other ROM's that have been released I noticed that it's possible to successfully get Manila 2D to run but it's pretty clunky on the Treo Pro.

HeecheeSCG 02-26-2010 09:09 PM

Re: Heechee's TreoPro GSM 28014 Rom WWE & older

ROM will be delayed 7-10 days, I have to go on some trip but will try to use free time to do some work on trip...

Hi, looks like awesum work. Just would like to know for sure if it works on a GSM Unlocked Palm Treo Pro. from the UK and Dublin? It's in Canada running on Rogers network / at&t / old Cantell / Verizon netwoks.
I had a HP Ipaq 910c that I briked & found a wm 6.5.3 for it and got it running again. Works great and now wont to do my Palm Pro. Thanks.

I was wondering if it's possible to make a completely naked rom... Like absolutely nothing. And only winmo 6.5.3 settings. No wifi-prefs, power, taskmgr etc... If you have tried to replace all icons with jwmd icon changer you would know what i mean...
