so this is pretty funny. apparently they do have to just give them away.
between paying devs to make apps and paying customers to buy them, how is windows phone a sucsess?

Well, sure... selling into an entrenched market is hard. Even if you used to own that market.

Once they get to more than 0.01% share, they'll be a success.
