How much would you pay for a new OS on top of the line hardware??? The friggin TP2 set me back 400 out the door. I'm not paying that kind of money for any phone from this point forward. MS is keeping the price point down especially considering the demo they are after is my teenager and my 20 year old. Not buying them a 400 dollar phone. This is business... Not a game of keep the nerd boner going.

Why else do you think we are still getting 1500 mah batteries... There are much better batteries out there. There are also 120 gb memory cards. But all that fancyness comes with a price. A price I sure the hell will not pay. I'd rather go to a different platform.

The dual cores were available for purchase already this year..the newer 2nd gen snapdragons were available last year..they just cost more..manufacturers though choose to buy whatever gives them competitive performance for cheapest price to widen their profit margins...To be fair unlike Android M$ requires the hardware to be certified and optimized for before implementing it..so a dual core may be pushing it..BUT they really have no excuse for not releasing a 2nd gen 1ghz snapdragon similar to the one in the mytouch 4g..the processor as been out for over a year..and there really is no excuse..

It wasn't silly..people were looking at HTC Gold..and since HD2 came out over a year ago who would expect M$ to go with more of the same?
People thought M$ would work with hardware providers to ensure that they were ahead of the curve

CE7? you mean CE6...

Carriers still control updates :/...as for Qualcomm..they have good processors..the problem is either they price them too high, have too much licensing on every little tech(HTC drivers anyone?)..or manufacturers are being too cheap and trying to cut corners or up their profit margins..Samsung on the other hand produces their own processors and other hardware so they dont have to pay the middleman fees and put it in their devices cost effectively..

No silly. You doing it wrong! Htc and m$ are saving the planet! We need to stop global warning! Al gore says so. So htc is trying to make new cpus and instead they are recycling their back stock left overs to the tree huggers! Donr you wasnt to save the glaciers! My gos ur doing it wrong!

Thats why u getting whay u getting dumb llama! U get whay you pay for! Under 200$? No cutting edge top of the line cpu fo u!

BAD NEWS no scorpion support (well it could be not sure..)
I think scorpion is the current iteration of snapdragon
HOWEVER there is good news
Qualcomm 7x30 support
Qualcomm's 7x30 offers stellar 3D and multimedia performance, coming this year (video) -- Engadget
and trust me it looks fricking amazing...
And I am pretty sure it will be released (devices rather) soonish...either that or they may push this back for the wp 7.5 update...I doubt the scenario since the support is coming NEXT month
edit nope 7x30 apparently has scorpion cpu
so...uhm major news here...

I've been trying to find something cool coming out of CES in the form of a WP7 device... Nothing yet. The day is young though. It looks as though tablets are the stars of the show. Yet... I see nothing priced for the common mortal. Or anythign from Sprint! WTF? EVO Shift is what we get from Sprint?
Verizon has a butload of Android phones. Some with some very nice looking design lines and beeffy hardware to match.

Btw, why everyone mad at me? don't get mad.. Its only the interlubes... No sense in complaining. We have to learn to live in harmony. Kinda like worldwife and 8820, they fight, bicker, cry, moan, bish,and then make passionate make-up love all thru the night. All sweaty and hot and bothered.... All thru the night . Wow... That thought creeped me out!
