True true. See, MS found in the year 1999 or whatever, "hey, this is a really good OS", which it was (and still is), but because MS is about, "hmm, what could we possibly do to make more money?". "Hmm, what could we do to please customers?" is not even on the to do list.

We can hope that like Sony's PSP, it will be hacked. Of course we'll have to redo ten years of progress, but thats what we get for trusting mobile devices to MS.

Come on people. All about money and not about customers, yikes. First off it doesn't matter who you are it is always about making money. Otherwise none of us would have jobs. However money doesn't negate everything else. It isn't a zero sum game.

Having said that the percentage of Microsoft phones to the others is now in single digits. Sure it happened because we are now in-between OS versions but it probably would have happened anyway. The point I am making is it doesn't matter how much we all love the existing phone. It was doomed. Give Microsoft some credit for doing everything possible to stay in the game. If this phone fails and the Slates don't take off then the PC will start to lose importance. Microsoft is doing this to stay relevant. Give them some credit.

Very true. The only way we can really show our disapproval is to not buy it. Unless of course it can be modified to run WM6.1, then it wouldn't be as bad.
