M$ is saying F their current user base, its like they are saying you dummies should have got an iPhone.. I cant get any work done on this, 3D games and slick graphics are cool but not if I have to carry a laptop around with me. Sign this petition if you feel the same way.

Ahm..most US windows mobile phones were made by HTC and HTC used the WORST features it could to keep bare minimum...

while I am happy that HTC did actually give us winmo phones they are the cheapest when dealing with hardware including to cheap to pay 5$ per device for hardware acceleration or using minimum ram or using a processor that is over 3 years old when many new better alternatives existed.

Samsung gave a phone or 2 but they were for verizon. Otherwise winmo has been known for giving the worst features on the market which is why M$ failed in the mobile market..they did not stand behind any of their products at all. Google doesn't even profit from sale of android and they stand behind it.

As for WP7 having best features is impossible..only the snapdragon is authorized to be used on for WP7...which most phones now are coming out with. There is the snapdragon2 which would "maybe" put it ahead which msot likely they won't use and Samsung already announced an Android phone with a processor better then the snapdragon2 called Galaxy S..so M$ will be playing catchup hardware wise anyways.

2. google makes a huge profit from android sales, not from OS sales but advertising sales from using their free email system and default search engine built into the phones. It amazes me that a person with a brain would actually think that google is spending millions upon million for development of this OS just for the fun of it. if you knew what google does with all your personal info you wouldn't be uttering the word "android".

3. wm out of the box has always been the best with features such as registry editing, multi-tasking and office software built in that others still cannot do while wm has done it for many years.

4. ms did not have any control over hardware and manufacturers (especially palm with the treo) have made ms look real bad with hardware that cannot handle their OS. now the control begins with wp7 and as usual MS will dominate the market.

the words that i hear from everyone right now are the words i herd with wm was first introduced to the market.. symbian is better, palm os is better... good luck with that.

Microsoft will never allow itself toget dominated in any market especially when it comes to quality. the people complained and windows 7 came out and completely destroyed everything in it's path as windows 2000 did when MS aimed that OS directly at Linux and had administrators calling into MS asking how to remove Linux servers and incorporate Windows 2000 servers instead.

I voted to boycott. I just got my son the HTC Hero and its features are not really for a professional (which is how I use my Touch Pro). I am disappointed that M$ seems to not care about folks like me with their latest release. I'm a PC, but WP7 was not my idea.

I think they're making an OS that sucks on purpose so the one after it will look great. Just like Vista made 7 look awesome.

Yes because their phones hardly exists in the US market..more android phones came out in 2010 in the US then WM in a lifetime. Not ot mention that all who picked it up it was barely alive, froze up and etc due to poor hardware.

The same thign that M$ with your info..and I never said Google doesn't make money on Android..Google makes 90% money on adwords and everything they do is based around it. That said Android is open source and you can completely remove Google out of android such as Motorola did for AT&T and plans to do for China

It has many software features yes its been out for YEARS and is a mature platform...hardware features on the other hand are HORRIBLE

I agree about the control on hardware..but its M$ fault..their mentality was 5 years ago..now their mentality is 2 years ago..progress I guess...

People did not complain when Win7 came out they complained when Vista came out..and windows 2000 was not that great..microsoft was always in the server market with Windows NT being first. The time that Microsoft got progress in the server market is Windows 2003 (I use these and CentOS for my servers myself)

Are you serious? You cant be because I switched from winmo and android is WAY faster, more reliable and less likely to freeze or crash than winmo. And FYI there are a ton more folk switching from winmo to android than vice versa.

And Android’s gains seem to be coming largely at the expense of Microsoft’s Windows Mobile platform: over the same period, Windows Mobile lost 4 percent of the total market, dropping from 19.7 percent in October 2009 to 15.7 percent in January 2010.

Android grew by 153% since October while Windows Mobile fell by 20%. So with that said doesnt seem like your statement has much merit. After the Evo drops on Sprint and the Incredible on Verizon Android WILL surpass winmo in marketshare.
