while I am happy that HTC did actually give us winmo phones they are the cheapest when dealing with hardware including to cheap to pay 5$ per device for hardware acceleration or using minimum ram or using a processor that is over 3 years old when many new better alternatives existed.
Samsung gave a phone or 2 but they were for verizon. Otherwise winmo has been known for giving the worst features on the market which is why M$ failed in the mobile market..they did not stand behind any of their products at all. Google doesn't even profit from sale of android and they stand behind it.
As for WP7 having best features is impossible..only the snapdragon is authorized to be used on for WP7...which most phones now are coming out with. There is the snapdragon2 which would "maybe" put it ahead which msot likely they won't use and Samsung already announced an Android phone with a processor better then the snapdragon2 called Galaxy S..so M$ will be playing catchup hardware wise anyways.

1. wm sales are an average 18 million licenses a year that's the highest in sales on the market right now. they call it a failure for the last year because MS was not happy about not reaching their goal of 20 million a year.

2. google makes a huge profit from android sales, not from OS sales but advertising sales from using their free email system and default search engine built into the phones. It amazes me that a person with a brain would actually think that google is spending millions upon million for development of this OS just for the fun of it. if you knew what google does with all your personal info you wouldn't be uttering the word "android".
3. wm out of the box has always been the best with features such as registry editing, multi-tasking and office software built in that others still cannot do while wm has done it for many years.
4. ms did not have any control over hardware and manufacturers (especially palm with the treo) have made ms look real bad with hardware that cannot handle their OS. now the control begins with wp7 and as usual MS will dominate the market.
the words that i hear from everyone right now are the words i herd with wm was first introduced to the market.. symbian is better, palm os is better... good luck with that.
Microsoft will never allow itself toget dominated in any market especially when it comes to quality. the people complained and windows 7 came out and completely destroyed everything in it's path as windows 2000 did when MS aimed that OS directly at Linux and had administrators calling into MS asking how to remove Linux servers and incorporate Windows 2000 servers instead.
