btw. im a harcore wm owner. i want to see w7 at its full glory and wish it could run lap on all other phones. But steve got somethbing right. He managed to get a pda type phone that works out the box and graphicly amazing. An all while locking it down like its a mass cereal murderer.

But then again.... whats wrong with staying the same and just bring out more faster hardware like over 1ghz or 2ghz with 1gig ram ppc running windowmobile? Then you bcan forget all the nagging about how multitasking bactually slows down so who cares dabate. Ajust saying....

there's no need for a boycott as this new os will fail anyways. there really isn't very many interested people or devs with wp7. micro$oft needs to smarten up and go back to the old 6.5 interface. i don't know what the heck they were thinking.

Actually it is semi MS fault for being short sighted...I don't think that is the number of pirated wm software..but they should have had an App-store since day 1. If not via phone, at least via activesync or something..I mean why doesn't even desktop windows have a marketplace? I know they have one via microsoft's site but I mean native into windows.

How is it graphically amazing? The thing about the iPhone is every year they made major improvements to the processor and the OS. Windows mobile phones only did minor improvements hardware wise with minor OS improvements as well.

bumping a 400mhz (3G) to a 600mhz (3GS) processor and adding things that MS already had in their OS wouldn't qualify as a "major improvement" to me. MS was already running 528mhz chips before the 3GS was even conceptualized. Also keep in mind that unlike Apple MS does not manufacture or decide which processors go into their phones, HTC pretty much does all that (and seems to understand the OS better than MS imo)

Having said that I'd rather have an iPhone 4G over a winpho7 phone (will probably have both).
