People that actually flash & customize phones is VERY small in comparison to the number of people that own smartphones.. and with this new wm7 thing looks like itll be even smaller lol
You just gave a reason why people will buy Windows Phone 7.

A lot of our devices probably can but Microsoft wants to make sure it only runs on devices that can run it to it's fullest ability. If they allowed it to run on our phones people like you would be shitting on it for not running as smoothly as the higher end phones. Another no win situation for Microsoft.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiight. And carrier reps never lie or over exaggerate. I only know a couple people with Android devices and no others are considering it that I'm aware of. And people are working to get it on our devices because it's new and a new toy to play with. Just like other UI's. Android is to the mobile market what Linux is to the desktop market.

I love all three of them but I love what I've seen of 7 so far just as much if not more. So I'm fine giving those up and I think in the long run most people will as well.
This just proves my point exactly. You hate how SPB looks, others do to. Others hate how Sense/Touchflo looks, other hate how Winmo7 looks, others hate PointUI. But guess what. If we all had OPTIONS, we could pick the one we liked, and everyone would be happy. The problem is they've removed our ability to choose what we like.

The problem is, this social networking BS is an integral part of the OS and GUI design adding layers of unnecessary clutter that I don't want or need, regardless of whether or not I "sign in". Again, it's them forcing choices down my throat instead of allowing me to make them.

Re: Windows Phone 7 Discussion

I think that WP7 looks nice and that it will be more successful than any of the other editions of winmo. But I don't think we can look at it as an upgrade over 6.5. It's just a completely different platform.

Personally, I don't think I'll get one. I love the look of the UI, but like most people here (I think), I enjoy messing with my phone. It doesn't look like I'd be able to do that on a WP7 device.

PRECISELY.

I'm getting sick of MS dumbing down their products to appeal to the MACtards.

yeah and verizon is such a great "lmao" carrier that loves to cripple their phones, sorta like mico$oft does with wm7.

for your info i used to own several winmo phones before i woke up and went to a better device. maybe you should open your mind a bit too.
