Question about when I DL .CAB files.
Firstly, I apologize if this is the wrong place to ask this.
I'm not very tech-savvy, so I'm sorry if this is obvious to you. I'm not sure why, but as of the last 2 days, I've had a problem that's been driving me insane. Every single .CAB file I download, becomes a .RAR file, & I extract it to my desktop, to transfer it over to my phone, but every single .CAB file I download, these are the only files I get. And what would I do with these? Or can anyone tell me, why it's happening? http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=4zvyox&s=5 (I'm not sure if the picture came out large enough, but the 3 files that come in it, are: _setup [XML document], NAVTET~1.000 [000 file?], 0CAB11E9 [001 file?] <-- Although, it has Quicktime symbol.) TIA. -Josh

Re: Question about when I DL .CAB files.
WinRar reads .cab files as archives that it can extract from, but the file still retains the .cab extension. If you don't edit the file and just transfer it to your phone, you can run it as a .cab and it'll install like a normal program. Winrar is just associating the .cab file with its program, which is why it allows you to open it. Extracting it wont' do any good.
