Re: ActiveSync 4.5 problem - need expert!
remove hotsync unless you have a Palm device
remove ActiveSync go into device manager (click START>RUN type in DEVMGMT.MSC and click OK or press ENTER) Make sure you don't have a USB keyboard or mouse, remove each USB device listed under UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS CONTROLLERS Reboot your computer, let it find and automatically install all the USB drivers, then try to sync again |

Re: ActiveSync 4.5 problem - need expert!
It found some of the onboard devices (root hubs, fingerprint sensor, not webcam tho,
or printer support). I reinstalled active sync 4.5 it said it updated USB drivers. rebooted. after attaching a bus powered hdd it found it correctly. I did a cold reset on the phone and then tried to connect it. still got the USB bubble error message. *sigh* |

Re: ActiveSync 4.5 problem - need expert!
I tried restoring a checkpoint from before the problem happened incase some
registry key was corrupted or deleted. no luck there either. I'm at a loss as to what's wrong, so no idea how to fix it. |

Another thing you can try is to remove the MicroSD card from your phone and try it again.

Re: ActiveSync 4.5 problem - need expert!
Verizon, (my new carrier, since the merger), agreed to an advanced replacement.
I get a VZW phone though not a new Alltel . Do you know what comes in their OEM package (apps and such). Alltel puts Jetcet 5 in their's and it works well with my networked printer. I know I lose the extra ram . Do I have to rebuild my environment, or can I just have it do its customizations and then restore my SPB backup? Thanks |
