Need help with Htc Touch

hello i have recciently purchased a htc touch from thailand little did i know it dosent support my network when i put my sim card in i get a message saying

Your Current operator (31026) is not supported. you should obtain an update from your device vendor.

Would you like to select another network provider?

so then i get on the phone with Htc and they tell me theres nothing they can do and im thinking to my self thats impossible i know it can happen so any help would greatly be appericated thank you very much in advance
