screen taps

i like the screen taps that you can turn on in start-settings-sounds & notifications, but i dont like how its global. does anyone know if we can do something (regedit?) to make the screen taps for the SIP only? im pretty sure its a mental there where hearing the phone click lets me type a lot faster...and having the diamond, it does make a difference.
