Re: Going insane, need pim help...

Try renaming the pim.vol file on you rphone to pim.bak.

Then, copy the pim.vol from the pc onto your phone. (in the same directory as the pim.bak) It should pick up all of your info.

I Used to back-up my pim.vol to my storage card every few days or so...just in case.
Now, I'm using pimbackup 2.5. It can be setup to automatically do a backup at whatever time you want it to. VERY cool!

Good luck!

Re: Going insane, need pim help...

I got this from another thread....if you open the pim.vol in Notepad......its not to bad, you can make out the names/numbers etc.....write them down on paper then start from scratch inputting them back in the phone, I guess this would be your last resort.

Re: Going insane, need pim help...

The tech person said it was the only way they could get it to work since i did not back up my contacts using active sync, i just saved the file to my computer.

Re: Going insane, need pim help...

hummm I just dont get it on why you would need the storage card to work for this issue....maybe they know something, I guess that is why they are "Tech Support".

It like saying....your car does not start because you are using "super unleaded" and you need "regular unleaded".
