Why does everyone hate the iphone?

The iphone can multitask using a program called backgrounder. Im not sure how WELL it works, but it does work. So far ive only used it for facebook and for the map, but for those it works fairly well. There are rumors of flash, but im not sure when they will be implemented. as for at&t? yea it sucks... but it can be unlocked for other gsm carriers

ya i have actually. an ipod and iphone. both got boring REALLY quick.
some games were cool, and somewhat entertaining after a while, but they too got boring after playing a couple times. kinda like wm games do. and music part is over rated. I've got an mp3 player that works just as good without the added BS that's in an ipod. the itouch is cool though, I could see me getting one of those, but the iphone, no way in hell, jailbroken or not. I'd rather go back to the old flip phones before camera's were put into cell phones before having an iphone. lmfao.
(I'm not anti apple, I've worked for them and loved working on an imac, i love their desktops and some laptops, but iphone no.)

and I've been hearing through the grapevine that it's going to change, it's going to be a over the air upgrade that upgrades without you even knowing.

therefore bricking or relocking jailbroken phones and I'm assuming it'll patch where ever the coding is that allows jailbreaking.
if apple can't make jailbreaking illegal, which they can't, they'll go another way. I've seen them try to do something one way and they couldn't, so they did an even worse work around.

it'll be interesting to see what they do in the next year or so about jailbreaking.....

Everyone in my department (yes I counted 25) has an iphone. I like being the only one with a wm device.

I don't hate the Iphone per say, but I do hate some of the things it stands for.

1.) No keyboard

2.) Carrier exclusivity. (I understand Apple approached other carriers, but it still enforces Apple's "My way or the highway" approach)

3.) Lack of or slow adoption of basic features.

4.) Although the App Store is very nice and centrialised, WM is nice because of it's large 3rd party support.

5.) The idea you have to have an Iphone to be hip.

Only point that I need to keep me on WinMo

Sprint 6900 w/ Andriod + $30 SERO with incoming calls + 20% Co. Discount + $7 TEP + Unlimited = Roughly $35

Try even romotely approaching that with iPhone/ATT

I have the best of both worlds, the above sprint package and a 16g Jailbroken iTouch

i would never get an iphone for many of the reasons already mentioned but im not a blind fanboy. you have to appreciate what the iphone did for the cell phone game as a whole. you can hate the device, hate apple, hate att all you want but not a one of you can truthfully say that the iphone didnt raise the bar for ALL cell phone manufacturers

me personally I dont like apple period..i dont like using software to transfer music or vids..or anything else..usb mass storage..drag what i want when i want.. put it this way i still use my iriver hp140 40 gig mp3 player.. and nothing else comes even close to the sound quality.. will never get a ipod or itouch or iphone...or a mac..etc.lol

Boil it down and if a device serves the purpose of the user, that's all somebody can ask.
Lots people will tell you that iPhone will fit the bill for them, other will swear by Windows Mobile devices.
