I really used to hate the iphone and oddly it wasn't because of the device as much as it was because of how locked down the device is. Even with a jailbreak there isn't much to do. There I am with an iphone for a good week. For an hour I said okay nice and finger friendly and it moves fast, but I got personally bored. So what did I do except try and unlock it...
jailbreaking and for a few days it was finding new things jailbroken for the iphone. And then I got bored again. So I have a very expensive phone that makes me bored. And truth of it all is simple - the iphone is probably a great device but it bores me immensely because I'm stuck. No matter what I do to jazz it up, I'm stuck. Much like a blackberry, I was very stuck, because no matter what I had a fancy launcher. Don't get me wrong, screen size was nice, and so was the light sensor on the device, but overall, it was just meh.

Now that being said, htc may not be a lot, but windows mobile you can really do what you want if you have the knowledge. Perhaps iphone is just too new or something. But in my opinion, I don't think iphone will ever be for me because I think I look for different things when getting a device.

Two of the guys I work with have iphones, and my antiquated vogue outperforms their iphones on a regular basis. The two primary tasks that they always lose on are flash content and network strength. Not having flash absolutely ruins the internet, I can't even count how many times they've been ready to throw their precious iphones in the garbage because they arent able to utilize something online because of the lack of flash support. At&t sucks for coverage in our area as well, granted, Lubbock Tx. is not a huge city like Houston or Dallas, but with a population nearing 300k and a major university you'd think coverage would be good. The people I know with iphones in this area have to deal with an edge connection on a regular basis, which from what I've seen is almost as bad as not having internet at all. Customization on the iphone lol, they can change icons and backgrounds, pretty unimpressive. The only actual advantages of the iphone over a VOGUE is screen size and games, and after the TP2 and Omnia 2 hit the market you'd have to just be stupid to still want an iphone. Both of the guys I work with are anxious to reach the end of thier contracts so they can get something better than their iphones.

Is that the reason why Iphone sold millions and millions? Aside from recession we're having, Apple just had their biggest selling non holiday quarter. Thanks for ur input. Now I know why apple sold too many Iphones.

They sold iphones with awesome advertising. Making people that don't have a lot of technical knowledge believe that things like cut and paste and video capture on a phone are ground breaking technology. Millions of crack rocks are sold to idiots too, does that automatically make it a good thing?

Iphone is on the 3rd gen. If people just bought it just because of the ad, The 2nd gen will plumit. Coz Like U said, Even copy and paste cannot be done. Apparently there are more Iphone can offer than just copy and paste. A 133 million polygons per second maybe. Comparable to PSP. Now it's on the 3rd gen and sales are keep going strong. Dude, U just can't make an awesome Ad then sell a crappy product. That is basic common sense.

BTW, Which awesome AD are U talking about?
One more thing. U mentioned that AT&T sucks on ur area. SO It means that HTC fuze and all their WM based phone will suck right?

Yeah, anything on AT&T has crappy signal strength here. You actually can sell crappy products with advertising though, Billy Mays made a career of it, and it wasnt so much of an awesome ad as it was just volume of advertising. How often do you see iphone commercials? How often do you see Touch Pro commercials? Most people are sheep and will do whatever the tv tells them is popular. If advertising didnt work we wouldnt have commercials lol.

It'a backed by money back guaranty and more. If U didn't return the crappy product, It's ur problem.
I didn't say that the AD has nothing to do with the sales. matter of fact, Ads are the most effective way to sell a pruduct. But like I said, U just can't make an awesome Ad and sell a crappy product.
