Who pre-ordered an iPhone 3Gs?

OK, so I haven't looked at jailbreaking much, but have a few questions if ya might be able to help me out Negrito.

1. This is my work phone and if I leave, I have to give it back... can it be easily undone?
2. If my boss borrowed my phone, would he be able to tell it was jailbroken?
3. Do all the regular apps from the app store still work on it?
4. What is the benefit of jailbreaking? Just additional apps?

I assume the iPhone is the same as the iPod Touch, which i own.

1. Yes, plug into computer , open itunes, click restore.
2. How tech savvy is he?
3. Yes, some even become skinable...
4. Well if it isnt a 3gS then it would unlock the camcorder. The more apps, and you can change just about any graphic in the OS after jailbreaking.

Most people jailbreak their iPhone though because it also unlocks it.

I just pre-ordered a 3GS and picked up a 3G for the mean time (sprint was really screwing me up with missed calls, delayed texts etc etc). I should have it here later this week.

Ive been a die-hard windows mobile phone person for a while, but i have to admit the iPhone OS can do just about anything i wanted to do on my Touch Pro and it just works. Even the slower 3G one runs circles around the touch pro. That thing would drag after a while. And lets not even get on the topics of screen size, screen visibility in light, battery life. On top of that the apps are just so polished and they have so much support for everything. So far im more impressed than i figured i would.

1.yes, Restore put's it back to factory settings and locks it back if U unlocked it.
2. If he know's what cydia and winterboard is, He will know it's jailbroken. If not, tell em it's just another app from app store.
3.All of them will work. The advantage is U can run cracked apps. Most apps in the appstore are already cracked.
4.mostly no. 3 answer plus whatever you wanna do with your Iphone.

Yeah, but if he downloads 'Poof' he can hide cydia and winterboard, as well as all those damn apple apps no on uses...

That's why i asked how savvy his boss was. cause im pretty sure i could hide the fact that a phone is jailbroken from the average end user.

Just to add my two cents.
Easily to jailbreak, specially with blackra1n.
He might be able to tell, but there are ways to hide that it's jailbroken.
Can do sooooo much more with a jailbroken iphone.
