Who pre-ordered an iPhone 3Gs?

My brother-in-law really wants an iPhone and was about to get the 3G until he heard about the 3Gs.

While I tried to talk him into WM, he just wouldn't listen lol.

So anyone here have an iPhone or have pre-ordered the 3Gs?

Both my dad and mother-in-law have iPhones. I'm sure my dad will upgrade cuz he's retired and has waaaaayyyy too much time on his hands for stuff like this. I think my folks are spending our inheritance on toys, trips, etc.

Maybe I can get him to give me his old phone and I can jailbreak it for Sprint.

when the mods are speaking on getting iphone then we have to start to worry. Are you guys serious. I'm so disappointed it isn't even funny.

im between the iPhone 3Gs or and the Palm Pre.....

so time will tell, the Pre smokes the 3G but the 3GS might be a different ballgame... we will see

If the pre is better than the 3G how will it not be better than the 3GS?? The only differences is a video camera lol. The other features like tethering and mms at&t doesn't even support. So explain this different ballgame

The 3GS will have double (I think double) the RAM and More CPU power. Hence the S=Speed. Still wont be able to touch the TG01, Omnia Pro, or the X2 IMO.

i know what you are saying but since it brings the video camera that the Pre lacks (but will get anyway) and also things like the digital compass, twice as much RAM (faster performance) more memory (32 gigs) universal search like the Pre and other goodies, this closes the gap between the Pre and iPhone enough for me to wait for a head to head comparison instead of basing my desicion on the Pre vs 3G comparisons (which Pre blew away BTW, check out the 4 video comparison from Phonedog on youtube) Im not saying that the 3GS WILL be better but i want to see a dogfight between the new iPhone and the Pre since its new hardware vs new hardware so i dont get the "the 3G is a year old" excuse

still getting the Pre most likely

Well even if it has twice the ram, you will still only be able to have one app open at a time. Unless they've changed that with this one too, but I doubt it.
