Re: How do I get PodCasts on Android?
Okay. Thanks. I was just installing and playing with beyond pod on one of my wife's tablets this morning. I'll give the other one a try too. I'm looking for something that will sync subscriptions automatically and keep track of what I listen to so I don't have to sort through 100's of older ones.
On my other podcast devices, I had the option to organize and download/keep as many or as few as I wanted and then would delete listened to casts. Any other recommendations? |

Re: How do I get PodCasts on Android?
Played a little with Beyondpod and ACast. Having trouble finding many of the podcasts I normally listen to with their search function. Also, many I listen to are video podcasts and can't seem to get Beyond to play them. Is there a trick to this that I am not getting? I know I am coming from a device/platform that pretty much did it all for me. It will take awhile for me to figure it out but I probably will need a little guidance on it. Right now I am playing with my son's Lenovo A1_07 pad to learn on. My wife has the Archos 101G9, both running ICS. I'm considering the GS3 for my 1st droid phone but may hold out until the Note2 comes next month or so as I really kinda always missed the Stylus, coming from the old WinMo PDA days.
Any other pointers or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

You said you used to use itunes to sync, that can work for Android as well.

Re: How do I get PodCasts on Android?
Thanks. I saw that earlier doing a Google search but hadn't read it yet. It's been a few years since I used iTunes. I'd been using Zune the last few years since I was on WinMo/WinPhone. Another issue I've come across is that some of the podcasts I watch don't want to play through BeyondPod . I tried a couple of other players and they don't seem to work either.

PocketCasts it costs like $3 I think. I bought it months ago, I was tired of trying to get iSyncr to work correctly. I'm not sure if it has all of them but every podcast I have searched for came up.

Re: How do I get PodCasts on Android?
I ended up going with BeyondPod for my podcaster. I still don't use it as well and as easily as I did my Windows Phone but I've been able to get the podcasts I want and install the feeds to those that were not readily available.
I'm just not comfortable enough with it yet to use the advanced options that are available with it. I did like it well enough to buy the full version. |
