Hmmmm... I would have to say yes you can... because the core changes of the ROM took place in /system (which is auto formatted during install.) so a cache wiping method might just work fine. ON the other hand with the relocation of Dalvik cache... It could possibly fail. I can only say give it a try... Of course always back up before trying this if you are worried about loosing data.

Let me know how it works out for you.

Worked flawlessly and freed up quite a bit of internal storage room. Needless to say, I did a nandroid backup, but I'll post here if I run into any problems. Thanks

I am having trouble with the WIFI hotspot, maybe there is a setting I am missing?

Coming from many years on WM, I am kind of going crazy with the app's - so I could have a conflict with something - although I couldn't get it to connect just after the root?

Hello...I came here first so ill introduce myself quickly and visit the welcome center after ( promise ). My tag is mifhone and i will probably be quite the frequenter of these forums. I have an Optimus S and a 2.3.3 evo sitting in wait.

I have a couple of questions about the Optimus S. Do i absolutely need to have windows 7...I currently have XP, and i am running .net 3.5. Is there a work around?

You would probably be OK to use WinXP. As far as the framework you will need .net 4.0 to install the applications I have used as tools for rooting.

By all means ask away if you need help!

I was running CM7 for a while, but it was a bit buggy so I switched this ROM.

Much more stable, but I miss some of the CM7 stuff like having access to Power Control (turn off GPS after Gmaps) and screen brightness from the pull down tasktray. I believe it is all controlled out of the Cyanogenmod Settings menu. Is there a way to get that onto this ROM?

I was looking into that before I got my Evo3D. I will try to dedicate some time to the Optimus in a little while.
