Re: How do you like your Optimus?
I picked one up to replace a destroyed TP2 for one of my kids. He at first did not think it would do much, but after playing with it, we are impressed with its performance. Everything works fine and it does not take much effort to adjust to the plain vanilla Android interface. The only problem I am having is getting it to connect with the computer for syncing - I have not found a method yet.

I love it. You can sync files with an app called dropbox. I have gsyncit to sync outlook stuff, but I recently found "the missing sync" that does it all without going over cloud. I should have bought that instead.
if you want your phone configurable as hell, buy "tasker" one of the most epic apps I've ever seen. Came from a TP2, which I dont miss at all. Love the phone. it just works, and it's snappy. Quote:

Re: How do you like your Optimus?
I have been using WM devices for years and at one point bought my wife an HTC Touch. She formed such a hatred for smart phones and touch screens that she said she would never use one again.
So when I ordered her the Optimus S the other day of course she was like, why the hell would you do that. I don't want that thing! I like my Samsung reclaim! I told her just give it a try and we can return it if you do not like it. As an Evo owner, I explained to her it is much different then WM and will be much more stable..... So far, after 3 days she can't put the thing down so I would say she is pretty happy with it. The battery life on it has been really good as well. With heavy use it has gone for 14 hours and was at 15% left......Not bad! Is it as good as an EVO, not even close, but for someone looking for a nice small Android phone that will fit in your pocket and give you the Android experience, you can't go wrong with this one. |

Re: How do you like your Optimus?
I just ordered one for the GF and step daughter since they are free right now. They like that they come in purple, I'm happy that I'm getting them off a Diamond and Katana.

Re: How do you like your Optimus?
How is the reception and 3G performance? I intend on replacing my tp2 with the lg. Like most I would prefer the evo but I do not believe the phone is worth an extra (phone cost plus 10.00 a month for 24 months) 240.00 for no 4g service.

and your Area wont have 4G in the next 2yrs?? otherwise your cost model isnt accurate... and you'd be paying for the EVO being a hands down better device than the Optimus, not 4G... lol |
