Which Android Phone and Why?

Finally found someone at VZW that was willing to help me out since I've been getting bad replacements and I decided on the Fascinate. I figured having great hardware is a little more important than good software, and that the software will likely catch up in a few months, especially since Froyo is on the horizon for the Galaxy S phones now. If I wanted great software, I would have gone with the Incredible, but I realize that it's nearly 6 mo. old and somewhat outdated, despite still being a good phone. I may still be able to get something else within the 30 day return window then as well if I decide I don't like the Fascinate, but it'd have to be a pretty good phone to warrant that.
