Did any of you notice that it ships with Android 1.6? Isn't that too old of an OS to be coming out now? Of course Dell has said it would upgrade the OS at some point but if this is a good faith measure of how good their timely support is maybe we should wait awhile...
I basically think you should either be 100% happy with the shipping OS or not buy the device, all it'll take is a software/hardware issue for Dell to say, "Due to hardware restraints this device isn't capable to receive Android 2.x". Although its sweet, when you think about it, its just too damn big. Just not practical in everyday use. How do you put it in your pocket? If you add a case, it'll even be bigger. They should've at least got rid of the buttons and bezel and make it only the touch screen to save space.
I wonder what the battery life is in real everyday use, its probably even worse than the EVO. |
