From what I've read the PS3 will not work with adhoc connection.

yep, adhoc isn't ps3 compatible. ps3 is the 1 and only reason i pay for a home line.

Try this,
1.Turn on wifi tether. 2.Connect your PC to the wifi tether. 3.Connect your PS3 via network cable to the PC. 4.Bridge the connections in windows, and you should now be on the internet. |

I heard that some routers can expand the connection of another. This may work to convert an adhoc network to a regular wifi network as long as it can use an adhoc as a source.
I think regular wifi network requires a lot more processing and chip-sets rather then an adhoc and I do not know if the device is capable of it. |
