Android WiFi Tethering EVO HotSpot, any setup w/o ADHOC?

Hey there, I was wondering what kind of network does the android setup when you tether over wifi? Hopefully not an ADHOC network? Regular WiFi?

Also anyone know what kind of network the new HotSpot will be setting up in the EVO?

Looking for a phone that can tether without having to use ADHOC

From what I've read the PS3 will not work with adhoc connection.

Try this,

1.Turn on wifi tether.
2.Connect your PC to the wifi tether.
3.Connect your PS3 via network cable to the PC.
4.Bridge the connections in windows, and you should now be on the internet.

Re: Android WiFi Tethering EVO HotSpot, any setup w/o ADHOC?

I heard that some routers can expand the connection of another. This may work to convert an adhoc network to a regular wifi network as long as it can use an adhoc as a source.

I think regular wifi network requires a lot more processing and chip-sets rather then an adhoc and I do not know if the device is capable of it.
