Re: Exchange support

under your programs, you should have an icon for moxier mail or work email. set it up to sync with your exchange server and check the box for calendar.

Re: Exchange support

Moxier Mail is a paid app ($20) and is only preinstalled on some Android phones when you get the phone new. However, Android can handle Exchange sync, including email, contacts and calendar. To setup your Exchange server to sync in 2.1, go to Menu/Settings/Accounts and Sync/Add Account and follow the prompts to enter the information for your Exchange server and begin syncing.

Now, with that said, I have also used Moxier and Touchdown, which are commercial apps for Exchange support, and prefer Touchdown because it has widgets for email, calendar, tasks and universal (everything). I also like the way the mail app is setup more within Touchdown. The catch is that both Moxier and Touchdown cost $20+ in the Market. On the flip side, if you need to sync your Exchange tasks, you don't have much of a choice because the stock Android Exchange solution does not sync tasks.

There are fully functioning trials available for both Moxier and Touchdown so that you can decide for yourself which is better for you, if you decide to go the paid route.

No worries, how could you know?

I was hoping it was a deal that Sprint had with Moxier because I switched from the Moment to the Hero, and was very used to using Moxier for my Exchange account (work). But unfortunately I realized that it had to have been a deal between Moxier and Samsung, because the Hero (HTC) didn't have it preinstalled.

That's when I tried Touchdown and found that I like it even more than Moxier, so I guess it was a good thing after all

Re: Exchange support

I appologize for hijacking this thread, but it's in line with what you were asking here and I wanted to tag along. I moved to AdamZ's Smoked Glass 6.0.1 ROM and really like what I'm seeing. However, there is one problem that I can't figure out a way around. In AdamZ's ROM, there doesn't seem to be a way to add a corporate account (exchange) like there is in the vanilla 2.0.1 and 2.1 ROM on my droid.

I was able to locate the Corporate Calendar .apk, but it seems as though I need to enable this account type before I can get the calendar and contacts to sync.

Thanks in advance,

Seth
