INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Flash ROM then Hard Reset as Usual

2. Download Manila 2D Themes here, extract the folder and place on your SD Card

3.Once ROM Boots Open "M2DC" in the Start Menu and Select "Add" in the Themes Menu. Select a Theme. Apply That Theme. When It Ask If You Do Something With XML Files Just Hit "OK".

4. Once Theme Loads, Go Back Into M2DC and Restore Default Settings In the "Restore" Tab. (This Gets Rid of The Widget Bar Being Covered)


5. Add Music and Photo tabs Using M2DC as Well!

haha 6.1 is sooo fast.. mobile shell will work but i wouldnt use the manila 2d ROM because Mobile Shell Replaces Manila

Bing and youtube cab working strong - can't seem to get old Wallstreet removed but will keep trying.
Only semi-consistent issue (minor annoyance, not a true issue) some incoming calls will start with default treo ringer and then kick into the correct one ?
I'll be searching other posts but if you're aware of a better search engine for WM6.1 than IE would appreciate - in general it works fine but some sites won't open (ie:weather.com) got to have some radar action

1. manila 2d kills this function its a trade off

Alright so I'm definitely a n00b when it comes to flashing my Treo Pro, but I'd like to consider myself an expert in general (home brewed PSP in the past, programmed for previous devices, etc.). But I can't for the life of me flash my Treo Pro!

I spent the last week or so reading about the ROM available and decided to go with this one (Icon's WM 6.5 was the front-runner until yesterday).

I first started on a PC running Windows 7 Ultimate x64, where I ran into issues with the phone going to SSPL automatically. So I just rebooted the phone and reconnected it. Well when the flash is about to begin, the SSPL starts up again, and the phone loses its connection.

I read in some other parts of this site where people were having issues with WMDC on Vista/7, and I happened to have a laptop running 32 bit Windows XP handy. So I install ActiveSync and try to flash from the laptop, but the same exact thing happens here!

So I install enablerapinew.cab on the device to see if that makes a difference, and it doesn't.

Then I disabled advanced network functionality on the device. On the XP laptop, it still connects to ActiveSync, and when I run the RUU, it manages to go all the way through to the progress bar on both the laptop and the device, but "times out" after a few minutes, and the recovery wizards starts up in the RUU. I got the BSOD a couple of times during the process too.

On the Windows 7 computer, the system doesn't even connect to the device since I disabled advanced network functionality.

Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to flash the stock ROM before I do anything else? I tried to do that a couple times and that didn't work. Any help would be appreciated!

I guess persistence is key! I think I've made some progress. It is now flashing this ROM. We'll see how it goes...

Unlike the TP2, the Treo P took me a few times to unlock as well
But no issues since.

Raiderfan: Wondering if you can provide some guidance. If I'm not running manila with this ROM, what are the advantages vs the stock ROM? They seem very similar. Thanks!
