I haven't flashed wm 6.5 yet because i use a program called BeejiveIM for instant messaging. It utilizes the wm 6.1 today screen so w.e i get an IM, i can always tap on it. Since wm 6.5 will have a different today screen, (i know i can change it to the 6.1 today screen but then whats the point of flashing 6.5 besides getting apps i can't get on 6.1?) i don't know how it would work out. I tried going to sprint stores but they (stupidly) have all dummy phones except for pre, pixi and android phones so i couldn't try it out for myself.

I was wondering if one of you guys can test out the app on the new 6.5 rom and see how it works? maybe even post a picture of the today screen once u get an IM? This is a very important feature for me and i can't risk losing it. the link is below. The app works for AIM, MSN, YAHOO, IRC, GMAIL and i think one more client but i don't remember.

6.5 can also do the 6.1 today screen after flashing and the phone is up and running goto : start/settings/today then uncheck "windows default" and there you will have the 6.1 today screen

Well yea, that's what i also said above But then there really is no point to flash to 6.5 if i'm just gonna use the old today screen. I was wondering if the app would utilize the 6.5 todays screen or if there is a way too.

u mite be able to use chome editor, and add it as panel on the today screen

that's an idea. but its way too complex for me to do.

X2 to what skee said or try getting Home Screen Customizer from the market place it might let you add that as a panel once you install it?

lol..not at all. find a beejiveIM.cab(if there is one, i wudnt know, i dont use the app) then install chome editor.cab. go to start/utiliies/chome. there is an option to add panel there

ok cool so two options, Chome and HSC. Thanks guys, now i have the confidence i need to flash my phone to 6.5 lol

Just need to find a simple step by step instructions of how to unlock and flash and i'll be on my way

Is the consensus here that the only stable ROM is the original? It seems that the 2 ROMs that came after had ringer problems and now with the 4th ROM there is a WMP issue.

I really hate when a new ROM doesn't get a new thread, you can't piece together the relevant info with a ROMs release date.

On the first page I only see 2 release dates, March 16 and March 19.

Then in thread 229 someone mentions this MightyROM_Panther_032910. I assume that would be a March 29 release. But it is not on the homepage.

I see the last post from Mike was on the 29th. Is there another thread going on somewhere?
