you need to unlock the phone before atempting to update to 6.5 there is a thread for cdma and one for gsm.

Notes:
When the align screen (welcome) comes up give it a minute or more before aligning the screen. For some reason if you jump right in right away it does some weird things.

zevot.. no matter what i tried i could never get out of the screen aligning phase.. the cross symbol keeps coming back over and over.. plz help!!!

Hmm.. Doesn't do that with me.

Just to let you know, you kinda have to get it right on the cross symbol.

I just updated my Treo and I had no problem with the align screen. I waited about 1 minute on the "Windows Phone" splash page where it said "click here to setup..." and then again when I got the align screen. *shrug*

spiicytuna & sloogle.. thnx 4 ur inputs... i did wait awhile (after the windows aplash and the align screen) before i pressed the cross but still no good.. i guess i'll try to re-install and see if this would help.. thnx again!

never mind.. after many attempts trying to get the screen aligned by doing all tricks that have been mentioned on this forum.. i decided to do something on my own.. immediately after the cross moved all 4 corners i pressed the navigation key.. and u r not gonna believe it.. it worked!!!
