Threaded email is the biggest plus, and of course all the GUI enhancements that allow for more finger friendliness. The biggest con is that there are more bug. But I've only tried it with a 2.5 rom, so I want to see how it runs with 2.1.

1.4 2.5 21888... Verizon's Visual Voice Mail... Still balks about the network connection being unavailable. Am investigating, but wanted to report it.

Yours. I did a hard reset, flashed your 1.4 ROM from this thread, the 21888 2.5 version, and let it go through the provisioning. It asks me for my country info, which is weird. I put in the US, country code 1, etc. I then do the *228 OTA programming. It resets, then I install VVM. I've tried two different versions with the same result. The last time, with the other version, it said something about modem not found or some crap when it was dialing.

Now, here's the full disclosure. I tried out that new VZW 6.5 OEM ROM to get the radio update. It's been weird since them. I've rolled back to the 1.88.x version. I am going to try and put the 2.23 version on there again to see if that helps or wtf is going on. I've seen other folks report this error, so I thought I'd speak up...honestly, I'm about two shakes from calling VZW to get rid of the "feature" as it is nice, but not as nice as having a custom ROM. BTW, non-custom ROMS and for some custom ones it works. MM's works, Juicy's doesn't, etc. I am now trying NRG's to see what up wit it. We'll see if it works.

I'll post an update later after I try NRG's and try a radio revision, etc. I may go through the whole unlocking thing again to see if that helps. Like I said...at the end of the day I would like this, but it isn't critical. Data and voice are.

No radio change, but NRG's from 12/16, with the 2.5 Dusk theme works. *beats head against wall* Verizon sucks. Really? I dunno...but something stupid is afoot.

I am going to try 1.4 again and will create an entry for "My ISP" as that is what it was called on NRG's. Maybe the thing is that stupid. Film at 11, more news to follow, etc.

I'm a noobie at bluff my call and I see it in this rom. How do you get it to work? Says invalid phone number: try prefixng with + or 011 or 00 and the country's prefix code...

Ok, it has to be called "My ISP" for the Internet connection to work for VVM. Got it working on your ROM by doing that. Verizon is stupid. 'nuff said.
