Two quick qs:
1. Best barebones, dcd-like ROM? (i.e., is Calk's barebones ROM generated from kitchen still up to snuff)?
2. Tutorial/read me for using Calk's kitchen?

Thanks in advance.

go here for a tutorial on the kitchen

as far as a bare bones, u build the rom how u want it..........

Re: [ Kitchen ][ 2-16 ][ v1.6 B2 ][28230 / 23534 / 21892 / 21056] Calkulin's WVGA Kit

ok iv been messing with the kitchen and created a rom and it works. So now iv taken my cabs and converted them to oem and put them in different places so they would be cooked in and the kitchen gets all done and does not bring up the pagepool screen when it is done. So im assuming either the oems are bad/wrong or in wrong folder. Can someone tell me where i put the oems to have them cooked in? Oh and im using package creator 2.7.

I'll keep playing with the d3d drivers. I have tried cooking in coreplayer and installing from a cab, same result. Seems to only work right in the stock rom

This is what I usually show as well. I guess there should be an entry for the Favorite button, but I have never used it. How is your MMS/SMS working on VZW??

Update - can receive mms, but time stamp off by 6 hours / sms time stamps are accurate
Thanks for chiming in. I had assumed that Sprint was working because the majority of here are on Sprint now. I should have stated Verizon I guess. We are the few now.

Anyway bump for more attention to 100% MMS on Sprint and VZW.

Calk. What motor is that in your avatar pic? Is that from your car? I'm surprised at the amount of car guys we have in this thread. I drive a turbocharged Trailblazer SS with a 418 stroker. I see a couple stang guys in here too. Nice.

On a kitchen related note - Other (Miscellaneous Settings) still freezes my phone. 2011, 2012, 2012 max manila. etc. I should try an unmodified, freshly un7zipped kitchen. I have no idea what would break that functionality - it happened with the jump to 1.5 I think.

I was wondering since you have been cooking titanium only roms for a long time, have you come across a way to correct the Rhodium Dialer bottom Buttons while in a call? Not that big of a deal when the background is white, but I use a skinned Dialer and the missing bottom buttons produce a white area, I have looked through DLL's for the dialer and can't figure it out. I am guessing that without Manilla cooked in I am out of luck, but NRGZ has it done in his Titanium ROM but I ad PM'ed him and never got a response, searched my ass off and come up dry. I figured if anyone knew it would be you. If you can answer that would be great.

I don't either, but it sure is annoying when someone sends me one and it doesn't work. not too often though.
Not many VZW users here to test...

That's why I just use this SASHIMI.lnk shortcut and the xml to delete the shortcut at the end of SASHIMI's autorun:
The shortcut points to "\Storage Card\SASHIMI\Program\2577\Autorun.exe"

I prefer it this way because, for whatever reason, I like the stability it affords me.

- I built mine into a cab that I use in UC but here's one with ONLY the LINK in it.
- you can also use CPY1 and CPY2 functions in the config_operators.txt
Either way **Just make sure you put the XML in \Storage Card\SASHIMI\Auto\XML\ or else SASHIMI will launch on every boot.**
That's a great idea. I was going to cook the link in, then I realized that I wouldn't be able to delete it after it installed
