So you are thinking that Calk's pre VZW drivers (i.e. kitchen < 1.4) are different thanks Scott's?

I am sure they are different is some way. I can't speak for Calk's pre VZW drivers as I never cooked with his kitchen prior to him implementing Manila 2.5.
The reason why I upped Scots OEMDrivers is because that's what I have tested prior and used to using for comparison.

So far with an identical build with Scott's OEMDriver pack I'm still at 100% battery with BT on - going on almost 2hrs. now. I will see what the battery is like in the morning before I come up with a definite conclusion to the battery drain.

One thing I did notice is with the new bluetooth drivers if you have your pone set to lock and you reset it, bluetooth turns back on again without having to unlock your phone.

Re: [ Kitchen ][ 1-11 ][ v1.4 ][ 23518 / 21888 / 21056 ] Calkulin's Visual WVGA Kitch

I've flashed the 23518 twice, identical ROM.

Both times my first Sync with exchange decided to just quit in middle with no error.

Doing another sync finished it again.

First time Exchange has ever failed in several years of these phones.

Once it starts it always finished.

Makes me a little nervous.

I think you guys are right it eats battery and I think it's blue tooth.

If you watch the battery monitor almost all roms I've run with bluetooth on after fresh boot, idle, screen at 30% brightness I get 50ma draw (bt on or off). With this ROM if BT is on it jumps to a whopping 150ma with it off it's at 50ma.

EDIT: Wait, I turned BT back on and it stayed at 50ma, WTF. IT refused to come down to 50ma until I shut BT off. And you could immediately see it drop. Maybe it's in some sort hunt mode for while after first booting.

The 23518 sys in the kitchen does not have Office 2010 in it. Not sure what happened Calkulin, but here it is. Anyone who want it Office 2010 just replace the folders with the ones I attached. Also if you want to use Sharepoint 2010 you must cook in SqlCeMobile

Cheers

Give me a thanks if this helps you out!!! =)

I flashed once with Calkulin's posted 23518 sys and the phone took for ever to come out of suspend. I flashed once more and now everything is cool. I am using exchange 2003 and have no problems yet... Seems stable. The difference I can see with the new drivers is, battery life is not as good, and now bluetooth will turn on after a soft reset with the screen at lock. Before, with the old drivers after a soft reset, if you have exchange lock enforcement or setup your phone to lock, you would have to unlock the phone for the bluetooth to start.

So will we have to replace folders in the kitchen and then re-flash or can we just replace some folders/files on our devices? Also, do you know where I can get the sqlCeMobile so I can access my sharepoint?

Thanks,

Tp

It does have Office 2010, i thought the same thing as the icons were older ones, but when opening word file then about it shows that it is 2010.

The files in 23518 are 2010 no need to replace.

Are you all happy with your 23518 roms? I'm pretty unimpressed so far and am thinking about going back to 28011.
