Re: [ 11-10 ][ v1 ][ 6.5.x / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual WVGA Kitchen & ROMs

No matter what I do, I cannot build a clean ROM with no manila with working SMS to save my life. I've tried each of the 6.5/6.5.1 SYS and each time I have sending issues. So I have to have manila built in for messaging to work right?

My Kaspersky Anti-virus keeps picking up CHomeEditor.dll as Trojan-SMS.WinCE.Cyppy.h

Anyone getting this??? Is it a false positive or is it actually infected?

Re: [ 11-10 ][ v1 ][ 6.5.x / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual WVGA Kitchen & ROMs

I have been using the 23506 ROM for a while with Manila 2.5. I really like the ROM, it includes all the features that I need, but has a few stability issues. I can get past those, but I am quickly developing a love/hate relationship with 2.5. I like the look of the new messaging app, but if you have more than a few text messages in it then it takes forever to load a conversation and you can't begin to type a reply until the whole conversation loads.

I know there is an app to disable HTC messaging, but for some reason that creates more problems than it solves:

-Messages are no longer threaded into conversations
-You cannot open the app by clicking on the text in the middle of the screen from touchflo

There are a lot of things that I really like about Manila 2.5, but if I can't find a fix then I may have to jump ship for a while. Anybody have an easy solution to these messaging woes?

Jumped ship for Android now that WM is officially useless.

meatgel im not sure what your problem is that you are having. i build titanium roms only because i hate manilla, and im not having any text messaging problems on sprint. there are 2 options in the kitchen, hopefully you arent getting them confused. one option in the sys says htc message, that has to be true. there is another option called messaging client, that should be false. htc message has to be true, this is not the messaging client. the htc messaging client is the option that just says messaging client, make that one false and you should have no problems.

which sys are you using right now? I've built probably 20 ROMs last night with each sys and had sending issues each time. Sometimes the messaging client locks up, sometimes I click on new and the phone just doesn't do anything. It seems like the phone gets confused and locks up if it has to multitask.

I've been installing neuBattery after building. Think that could be the issue? Are you using a 1% driver, and, if so, which one?

Other than that, my ROM is stripped.

Thanks for helping.

i'm running the 23088 sys. when you say messaging client locking up, are you talking about the regular messaging client, or the updated htc messaging client. the updated htc messaging client is faulty right now and not working properly (though i have created roms with it and it works for sms, just mms isn't working) i would recommend building a rom without the messaging client and use the regular messaging. if that is what you are doing then you must have deselected something in the sys that needs to be true. i was using a battery driver but with the preview kitchen the 1% drivers are already installed on the rom. I have tweaks battery cab enabled. I do not use 1% in the kitchen, i use battery-tswoen 3.14 and tswosen taskbar 3.15. my taskbar looks like this

Re: [ 11-10 ][ v1 ][ 6.5.x / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual WVGA Kitchen & ROMs

I'm not using the HTC Messaging client. I'm trying to make it as straight 6.5 as possible right now. I think once I get stable I will move to 6.5.1, but this is driving me crazy. I know I'm missing something dumb.

I do believe this is tied to me adding a 1% battery driver after the build, but from my selections, my battery in the taskbar keeps going in 10% increments. That's why I didn't think there was a driver in the build.

I see what taskbar you are using. What is the "tweaks battery cab"? EDIT: bah, now i know what you are talking about ... the one in the tools folder. I will check it out.
