Hard to tell if that is a GPS Lock or Tower Lock.

A Tower lock will show a radius and distance.

That's a tower lock, I didn't center it, so it didn't show distance. If it would of been a GPS lock, it would of show a directional arrow. Pointing being, it's works in the kitchen, so the issue is something else

Hmm....Calkulin, maybe it's specific things I am disabling.

For instance, I don't build any ROM with Google Maps cooked in.

I also disable WindowsLive and WindowsLiveIM

You need Google's Location Service, which I include in manila and my Google OEM, so if your not including neither, triangulation WILL NOT work

Ahh, will try with google maps cooked in and see.

But, I Do cook with manila 2.1 in....

The ROMs I built were Manila 2.5.

I don't see any Google Location Service or Google OEM option under manila anything in either V1.1 or V1.2 Kitchen. Do we have to add it?

By the way the weather location worked fine (which uses Google Location Service).

Well, to make SURE everything was working fine, I ran QuickGPS, and soft reset. BUT before that, I took a look at what the Google Maps EXT included that might make this work, and I found these entries:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Google\GoogleMaps]
"supports_extended_ril"="1"
"supports_extended_wifi"="1"

And so I added those entries in and voila.

NOTE: It is incredibly inaccurate though, it locates me within 95,000 meters!
