Day-2 (lol) Still issues... first time regretting not having hard-wired internet and relying on my cell phone as my modem for the past 3 years.

I am still unable to unlock since I have to choose between ActiveSync or being online, can't do both simultaneously; and the SPL Hard Unlocker mandates an internet connection to unlock. I was going to go to my local library and use the wifi, but was told that wouldn't work because I have to have a special "acc" (which I think stood for account?)

Provided that you actually have internet access at the library the only reason that I can think of that you might have a problem is if someone else has already registered from that same library (in which case you'd have an ip conflict) but failing that it should work fine. If it's not too much hassle go and give it a try, it's not like you have anything to lose.

Nope this is only for the CDMA Touch Pro 2 - you'll have to search to see if a HSPL is available for the Imagio.

Thanks! I think I will stop by tomorrow and give it a show. Too bad I can't just hook the other cell phone I have, Motorola Q9c to the Acer Aspire Netbook I just got last week, turn on Internet Connection Sharing, and create a wifi hotspot in Windows XP and use that ad-hoc computer-to-computer connection to connect on my HP laptop with my HTC TP2 connected in active-sync.

Considering that the phone needs to go offline to actually complete the process it wouldn't matter anyway. But if you could get internet through your Q9c why not just hook it directly to your HP laptop with the TP2?

I tried that last night, twice... I thought I was all clever, haha! But my laptop kept getting confused as to which cell phone to sync with and which to tether to connect to the internet... I had/have no idea how to dedicate one as internet only and one as activesync. If I could figure that out, I'd stay up all night tonight to unlock and then flash to MightyROM.
