Hi, I just got a TP2 from Sprint and would like to flash the ROM. Unfortunately, although I a know little about computers I have no idea where to start with the phone. I have unlocked the phone and tried to flash it from the sd card after following all the steps but nothing happens. I have loaded a boot loader and the .nbh file. I hold the low volume, power and reset button but all I get is the tri color screen and no flash update. Please help!

No help was ever offered but I have flashed it from the computer now.

i understand that but will it stop my sim card from working if i flash and travel internationally?

No. It has no effect on the sim.

Doing this tonight... then bumping up to MightyROM! I'm pumped... because although the TP2 I just got this week is awesome and almost a quantum leap above the TP1, I feel it is not what I completely expected - BUT with a new ROM it will rock my world! Winmo6.5, better battery life, better graphics etc!

Is there a bullet-style comprehensive list of improvements and new features by upgrading not only from Winmo6.1 to Winmo6.5, but from stock factory Winmo6.1 to 6.5 AND doing a MightyROM install? THANKS :)

WOW that is a level of organization several orders of magnitude above what is available here ;)

Haaa! I have been reading a whole LOT over on the MightyROM thread, and it looks like all the features I was hoping for are BUILT-IN! I love the Youtube and Facebook one-click sharing feature, and having the HTC built wifi Sharing already part of the ROM is a HUGE bonus! I am geeking out over here... I can't believe although I've been a big tech lover for years now, I have NEVER ONCE taken advantage of these custom ROM's (and I'm on my 4th Pocket PC, ugh!).

Well, guess I get to witness my own evolution of a mobile user, lol. I just downloaded the newest Dec. 6th version of MightyROM, and will be unlocking when I get back home and upgrading!

I guess I can go over to Microsoft and look for something like "Differences between Winmo 6.1 and 6.5" (?) Thanks :)

Hi, been trying to do a hard spl unlock of my Verizon TP2 for a couple hours now (my first time doing this), and I kept hitting a brick wall over and over again - when I realized I think I should (have to?) have been online for the process to complete :(

My predicament is that my TP2 is my only means of internet connectivity via tethering, and Sync does not allow USB tethering at the same time. How can I get around this problem?

Its 2:16am, I started the process @ 9pm LOL!!!!

PERFECT!!! Worked for my Sprint TP2 without me knowing what i was really doing exactly just cliked ok. unlocked my phone to run the Mighty Rom and i couldn't be more pleased.

Thank you for making this easily accessible and user friendly for people like myself!!!
