It might help if you prepare your pc to recognize the tp2 in usb bootloader mode so it can install necessary device drivers. To do this enter the bootloader by:
1. power off your phone
2. press and hold send and end key
3. power on your phone while keeping the #2 pressed.
4. connect the usb cable

Your pc will install the driver for USB sync so when the RUU switched the phone to bootloader mode you won't be getting connection error.

After you get your device driver installed, soft reset the phone and connect it to pc on activesync. Then you can start the HardSPL automatic process.

I found the auto mode is way easier then going through manual (I was stuck at 0% doing manual). Hope it helps.

Re: RhodiumW CDMA Worldphone HardSPL Unlocker Release

dont know it this applies to al that are having probelms... but just for kicks.. is the pc you are using to unlock.. is it online??

the instrcutions say..
Quote:

Steps:
1) download newest RhodiumW Hard-SPL package and extract this to an empty folder.
2) you must Have Phone Synced with PC in Windows Mobile!!! the device needs to be connected to Activesync or WMDC via USB cable. and it must not be in Flight/Airplane mode (i.e. the phone part should be on).
3) internet access is required as the program checks online for updates and for the license.
4) run Rhodium-HardSPL.exe on your PC, make sure it's launched from a local drive (not through network drive, etc.). running it on XP requires Admin logon, and Vista/Windows 7 will automatically prompt to allow it to run in Admin mode, so allow it please.
important: if you get an antivirus warning, please ignore it, it contains no harmful code (just used a packer to compress it). if you encounter DEP errors, then add it to the exception list in DEP settings.

summary...

1: MUST BE Synced...

2: PC Must be online (for those who are online using phone. doubt this will work using it)..

3: Disregard Anti-Virus if u get a Pop Up..(disable Anti-Virus it so it doesnt stop unlocking or prevents it from starting.)

try re-installing activesync 4.5 if you're on xp.

Were you two using the same PC? If so, that might help track down if this is a phone issue or a PC issue.
