Any ideas why my battery runs down so quick?? Email is set at manual... all the usual apps are turned off..but even when i restart phone is using like 52%memory...why? If I go to bed with full charge, I wake up at <10%...sure sure plug it in at nite when you go to bed...but some of us arent lucky enough to have electricty....anything I can do to prolong usage?

Cfay...any way to modify/add the contact tab to be more like manilla 2.5 (multiple contact pics)? If that were possible, this would probably be the best ROM to stay with IMHO...please let me know.

I am really partial to 2.5 because of that one feature...I know you like 2.1 (and its your ROM, so I respect that)...but the contact widgets would be super cool, could that be cooked in somehow?

Go to your internet page, hit menu, data settings, and make sure push is turned off. Also go to the registry-

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\TaskManager\Termina teProcess

Create a new DWORD:
Opera9.exe
and set its value to 0

Also go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\TaskManager\Exclusi veList\System

and delete anything that says Opera

note:
There is no space in either Exclusivelist or TerminateProcess. This is the way Ceregistry editor rolls with copy and paste

I took my phone off the charger yesterday at 5 p.m. when I went out for dinner. This morning at 9:30 it was at 90%. I listened to a few songs, and made one call. Aside from that it was asleep that whole time.

I went to my settings and turned off push for Mail Outlook...
but how do i do the rest? Where is registry...is it on my phone or is it when i hook it up to me laptop...sorry for so many questions, im just new to all this.

hey chas123 - what exactly are the registry changes doing for Opera that help save battery life? i.e. what does the exclusivelist and terminateprocess do? tnx.

chas123 - nevermind i found the forum thread on this tweak, however, the thread states that Opera9.exe should be set to 1 (and not 0) as you mentioned ... not sure if this was a typo on your part or what exactly? i tried both set at 0 and 1 and they both seem to have the same performance gains. on that note, THANKS for mentioning this tweak ... its like night and day! before my resources would slam to 75-80% within 1 hour of messing around with my phone and stay there ... now my resources are idling at low 60's% after playing with the phone.

Yep. Sorry about the typo. It should be set to 1 if you want the x button to close Opera.
